Concrete Monolith was conceived as one uninterrupted mass — no expansion joints in the primary volume and no internal columns interrupting the interior. Forty tons of textured raw concrete were layered against custom timber molds and poured in a single continuous sequence, so the house reads as a solid excavated from stone rather than assembled from parts. Light enters through deep-set apertures cut directly into the mass, and every surface remains exactly as the formwork left it. No cladding, trim, or paint was permitted; the material integrity of the pour is the finished architecture.
